In a story spilling
over with sexual moments, THE FEEL OF LACE also has loads of expressive occasions between its charming main characters.
Packing this story with
an abundance of creative situations, Skyler Grey lets readers experience countless emotions while reading every vivid scene.
The spirited couple featured is both vivacious and a delight to watch as their lives change
With her feelings of
disgust over the stunt just pulled by the man in her latest relationship, Lacey Kimbel is beginning to believe she will never
find a decent and honorable man. When she hears her roommate, Aaron, come home, Lacey is all ready to let him know about the
most recent disaster in her love life. Aaron became her best friend after she moved to New York from Florida,
and she always confides all her woes to him. Going to greet him, she is shocked when she discovers there is another man with
him, especially since she is only half dressed! The man is introduced as Brock Hamilton from Florida, and he gives her a very desirous once over. Thinking the man is impolite, she huffs
back to her room.
After seeing how Lacey
reacted to Brock, her roommate wonders if his plan will work or not. He knows she is dejected and feels his cousin Brock is
just the man to finally bring some happiness into her life. To get his cousin to visit, Aaron made a bet with the other man
concerning Lacey, one which he sincerely hopes will turn out the way he wishes. As this couple quickly learns some things
about the other, many of them very stimulating and enjoyable, her old boyfriend still has thoughts of her and wants to keep
her in his life. With the time of his visit growing shorter, Brock and Lacey each start questioning what they foresee in the
near future.
The stories by Skyler
Grey are sensual as well as moving from the compelling plots and engaging characters. In this story, the passionate encounters
are the focal point; however, the oftentimes emotional thoughts and conversations give a feeling of realism to the book. There
are also numerous incidents which are filled with humor and amusing reactions by several characters. One event in the story
is actually rather frightening, as there are unknown factors involving a past relationship of Lacey’s, a most contemptible
man. At the other end of the spectrum is her roommate, Aaron, a man whose cheerful personality practically jumps off the pages.
Many of the circumstances surrounding Aaron, Brock and Lacey are enjoyably written, as I found myself smiling often during
their cleverly worded banter. The fiery sex scenes between Brock and Lacey are always vividly portrayed, letting readers experience
the titillating moments, too. Ms. Grey intertwines all these characters and situations to create a convincing story of finding
love when least expected. With several surprising revelations, THE FEEL OF LACE blends romance, emotion and humor to craft
an entertaining story.

Reviewer: Mandie
Aaron Holster was tired of hearing
all of his roommate’s horror stories about her dating life, so he invited his cousin, Brock Hamilton, to spend a week
with them. Lacey Kimbel had no idea that Brock’s visit had anything to do with her; she just knew that he really
got her engine revving. Considering how her latest foray into the dating world had ended, anything was better than letting
Ritchie Holt back into her life or her bed. It does not take Brock and Lacey long to act on their lustful impulses,
or to realize how much they enjoy each other’s company. After a rather unpleasant encounter with Ritchie, Lacey
decides to use Brock to try to get rid of him, by having him pretend to be her new boyfriend, but how much of it is just an
act?
THE FEEL OF LACE is quickly paced, which makes it easy to stay involved in the story. The spicy sex scenes are great, not to
mention plentiful as Brock and Lacey prove to be insatiable. The attraction between Brock and Lacey is undeniable from
the first time Brock sees Lacey prancing around in her panties. Ms. Grey did an amazing job of also showing the darker,
more sinister side of sex and relationships with Ritchie Holt. The brief glimpses of Brock’s and Lacey’s
every day lives gives the reader a better understanding of the two as individuals. Aaron is great as the instigator
and manipulator; he gives almost a comic relief to this book and would probably serve well as the main character in his own
book. THE FEEL OF LACE is an enjoyable book and this reviewer would like to read more of Skyler Grey’s
works.

Lacey Kimble hasn’t been making the smartest dating choices lately, and her
roommate has tired of hearing about it. Having decided to take matters in his own hand, he challenges his lady killer
cousin to a bet involving the stunning Lacey, and Brock Hamilton rises to the both the bet and the bait very nicely.
The
moment Brock lays eyes on Lacey he is captivated, and the feeling is more than mutual. But once the pair connects, they
realize it is more than just a bet that is drawing them together. Their magnetism has more to do with love and chemistry.
But soon Brock must leave New York for his Florida
home…
I will admit it, having only begun reading the romance genre a little over a year
ago, I am a reader who has no preconceived notions of the ‘rules of the romance genre’, so anything goes.
I love a story that surprises me, and authors who write what they feel, rather than what they think the readers expect.
So,
you may have figured out by now that there is something a little different about this book. Yes, this story probably
breaks some of the rules that long time romance readers have come to know. Do not get me wrong – The Feel
of Lace comes complete with a happy ending, but the path there is fraught with some unusual circumstances and obstacles
in the form of a forced seduction (not by the hero). But it all worked for me. The story rang true because the
author wrote the story in her heart, and I could only fault her if she had kowtowed to the rules other romance authors live
by.
All that said, I fell for Brock early on. He was everything I want in a romantic leading man – sexy,
built, with a sense of humor and a talent for seduction guaranteed to knock any woman off her feet.
Lacey is a woman
we can all identify with, searching so desperately for love that she has settled and made some really bad choices. Reading
her story, I shuddered remembering some of my own past mistakes! She is ready for love, and in the perfect place to
meet a man like Brock, who she succumbs to easily.
If you are looking for a sexy rule-breaking page-turner to whittle
away an hour or so, head straight to the Red Rose Publishing store and pick up your own copy of Skyler Grey’s The
Feel of Lace. You won’t be disappointed!

The Black Rose
Moving
to Tampa
from her small town home, Emily Knolls just wanted to live in the excitement of a big city. But it’s not all she expected
and she certainly didn’t expect to become the target of a serial killer. When Officer Andrew Rossi arrives at Emily’s
he’s not expecting to be attracted to her. Can he put his feelings aside to find the man stalking her or will they get
in the way, leaving Emily at the mercy of a madman?
The Black Rose shows how easy it is to loose our innocence.
Emily’s isolation in such a large city is well written and when she finds herself the target of a stalker the fear is
multiplied by her lack of family and friends. When Andrew turns up he brings with him a connection she’s missing and
you feel her reach and grab for the only safety she has, him. The relationship between them develops quickly and the fear
each feels at having the stalker in the picture only intensifies their intimacy. Though not as deeply emotional as a longer
novel The Black Rose still manages to convey the growth in their relationship. Things escalate quickly when the stalker
gets closer than either of them can believe. The tension in the last pages has you on the edge of your seat. Skyler Grey
has combined suspense and romance well, and the pace is quick and lively. The growth in Emily is obvious and adds depth to
an already good story. Ms. Grey’s The Black Rose is well worth reading. A quick short story that delivers
all the elements you would expect from a romantic suspense novel.
